This is a perfect lightweight coat or long jacket for spring and fall, in a fab 1960s mod style, made of a smooth, satin-weave wool in variegated stripes of tomato red, royal blue and mallard green. The coat buttons closed down to about waist level, with navy plastic buttons. It has a cute button-down collar (with functional buttons) and a tiny chest pocket with button trim. Bust darts shape the upper bodice slightly, but the jacket is intended to have a fairly loose, boxy fit. The three-quarter-length sleeves have single buttons at the cuffs. There are slit pockets at each side seam. The lightweight wool fabric feels more like a textile normally used for suits or dresses, and should be a comfortable layer for moderate temperatures. Like many 1960s clothing items, this jacket is smallest/most fitted at the shoulders, so please check that measurement carefully! In very good condition, the jacket has some fading to the purple acetate taffeta lining fabric only, not seen from the outside, or when worn. The youthful style and colorful stripes will make this 1960s jacket or coat a fun addition to your outerwear wardrobe!
