This unicorn necklace is from about 1965 and mimics the famous British tapestries hung in castles. Unicorn were supposed to make wishes come true and are still today considered good luck. The plating is still in excellent condition. The 1. 25 inch pendant has a raised unicorn in a pen on an opening locket pendant. The pendant is a quarter inch deep and has a detailed border around it. The locket is hinged tight which is why in the images of it opened has my stork scissors holding it open. The 23 inch rope chain is slinky and light weight.

This piece was made by Avon and originally had a waxy perfume in it.
