Measures 16” across the shoulders, 40” through the bust, 42” at the waist, 44” through the hips and length is 43”. Sleeves are 11” long from shoulder seam to cuff.

Has taupe ruffles around neck and cuffs; gathered sleeves and straight “tube” shape with a bit of shirring on sides below hip; has dropped waistline. Has placket with snaps at nape of neck. Fabric is silk, unlined. No label. Good condition with a couple of tiny holes on bust and some minor stains scattered about; a dark streak near hem in back and a couple of lighter spots. The hem of the ruffles is missing in a couple of places. Fabric is strong and not shattering but as with all silk garments of this era, it’s pretty fragile and can’t withstand a lot of wear. It’s more of a collector’s piece. True colors are true red and taupe.

**A note on measurements: I like to give measurements on items rather than a numerical size as I find this to be a much more precise way of determining size. If the garment I have measures the same as a garment you have, you can be assured of a good fit. If you have any questions about how I did the measuring just email!
