A Beautiful Gold Capped Omega Geneve Automatic Date Model Ref: 166.041 with a Stunning Sunburst Dial in Superb Condition, c.1969

The 166.041 reference was introduced in 1968 as part of the International Collection and showcases a blend of innovation and classic design that marks Omega's legacy in watchmaking. The 166.041 model is characterized by its sleek, round design and the distinctive, understated elegance of its dial, which typically displays a date function. It was powered by Omega’s highly regarded automatic Calibre 565, celebrated for its durability and precision.

We are delighted to offer for sale this beautiful gold-plated (20 microns) Omega Geneve in such fantastic vintage condition. The dial boasts a rather chic sunburst dial in gold with applied baton hour markers with luminous pips and slim pencil hands also with luminous inserts. The subtle date aperture is framed at 3 o'clock and the dial is completed with an applied Omega emblem and signature at 12 and is encapsulated underneath an Omega marked Plexiglas crystal. 

The GP case also looks well although it does show some minor signs of previous wear - nothing we wouldn't expect from a watch of this age. To the case back you will note that there is an engraving, this watch was given as a gift and has quite clearly been well looked after. This watch looks like a solid gold piece but without the extortionate price tag and to this end it is a great purchase - we love it!
