This lightweight chain necklace is an antiqued gold color. The chain consists of .5 inch, open work detailed filigree disks. It has no opening clasp, but measures 25 inches and can be carefully put over your head. The looped design in each disk link has a nice rope texture to it.

This metal necklace is circa 1950 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
