UnitedImaginations

A genre-defying artist childrens book for all ages, a stay at home travel book times that you have to stay home or close to home. On each spread the reader is presented with al- ternative “worlds” based on familiar surroundings like the grocery store, the laundromat and their own home. Along with a playful narrative the reader is presented with all the things in the worlds. Related and not, the intention is to inspire the readers to use their own imagination and explore it all together with their (imaginary) friends.

The story can be percieved as surreal, the pictures does not really help, but what the book really does is giving us a glimpse into our own surroundings, both physically and mentally. Everyday life can appear very real, but also very surreal at the same time. The introduction ends with: “Today we’re going to open up, here’s a key for you!”
