Wine & Soul Pintas Vintage Port 2016 Portugal Douro Portwein. Jorge Borges und Sandra Tavares zaubern hier die Weine in die Flasche. Die Rebstöcke sind über 90 Jahre alt. Obwohl das Weingut noch recht jung ist, zählt es heute schon zur absoluten Spitze! Jorge, der frühere Önologe von Dirk Niepoort, gilt als Ausnahmetalent in der Weinszene. Seine Frau Sandra Tavares de Silva war außerdem Önologin bei Quinta vale Donna Maria, ebenfalls einer der besten Abfülleren Portugals. Von diesen Ports wird man in Zukunft noch viel hören und lesen!!! Extrem extrahiert, super dicht, trotzdem elegant, schwarz in der Farbe und mit entsprechender Luftzufuhr außergewöhnlich vielschichtig!!! Parker: The 2016 Pintas Vintage Port is a field blend from old vines coming in with 100 grams of sugar. A big mouthful, this is sexy, sweet and powerful. Let it sit in the glass and you feel the tannins, though. It is firm on the finish. This has a long way to go in the cellar, but it is so expressive that I will not blame you for drinking it young. That would be a mistake, though—and it is going to close down. So, it's pretty much now or come back around 2027 or so, I suspect. When this young pup rounds into form, I suspect it will be a star. Let's be just a little conservative right now.
