Superstar Luke Hemmings continues to indulge his deep musical passions by bringing fans together and pursuing his own musical tastes with his highly anticipated solo EP: boy. It marks the 5 Seconds of Summer frontman's first new solo music since the release of his debut project, When Facing the Things We Turn Away From (2021). Inspired by musical acts like LCD Soundsystem and the Cocteau Twins, Hemmings was looking for something specific when he started writing his new EP Boy. In a session with songwriting partner Sammy Witte they called it "the pain". “It's hard to put it into words,” Luke explains. "I just know there's a feeling I get; there's a pain. That seems to be the feeling I come back to."
