The Green GO RDX Radio Interface links portable radios directly into a Green GO IP intercom so production teams can merge walkie talkie traffic with wired and wireless stations without extra infrastructure. A D Sub 9 radio port carries transmit, receive, and push to talk control, while the interface appears inside Green GO as a standard user with access to up to thirty two assignable channels and program audio.
Operation is simple and reliable. A Neutrik etherCON RJ45 provides both network connection and Power over Ethernet so cabling stays minimal at front of house, stage management, or OB. A bright OLED display and four keys give on device setup for channel labels, talk behavior between latch and momentary, listen and per channel level, plus program audio source, volume, and dim during communication.
The radio side is adaptable to many manufacturers. The RDX uses a bespoke adapter cable between its D Sub 9 and the headset or accessory connector on your handheld or base radio. Pinouts and example schematics cover common Kenwood, Motorola, and Tait variants. Use a shielded cable under 1.5 meters to avoid loss and ensure consistent keying and audio.
In daily use, a single radio channel can be mapped to a Green GO group so incoming traffic routes to the right crew, and a remote push to talk relay keys the radio automatically when the intercom opens talk, keeping hands free and timing precise. Powered through PoE to the IEEE 802.3af standard, the interface deploys quickly in fly cases and racks while maintaining show grade stability on mixed IP and RF communications.
