Europa Galante" is one of the world's leading Baroque orchestras, founded in 1990 by the master of Italian classical music, Fabio Biondi, and has been breathing new life into the Baroque and Classical repertoire. In celebration of its 30th anniversary in 2020, Europa Galante will make a new recording of Vivaldi's music, which has been a major part of its repertoire since its foundation. Vivaldi taught music at the Instituto Pietà (orphanage) in Venezia and wrote this concerto for the girls living there.
