Gardner's long-awaited third Bartók! The next generation of British maestro Edward Gardner, who has been the principal conductor of the prestigious Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in Norway since 2015 and is making headlines after it was announced that he will succeed Jurowski as principal conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra from 2021.Following "The Wonderful Chinese Official" with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra (CHSA5130) and "Okecon" with the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra (CHSA5189) comes Bartók's only opera, "Lord Bluebeard's Castle"! Edward Gardner has been the Music Director of the English National Opera for 15 years, and has been active on the world opera scene at the Metropolitan Opera, Royal Opera House, Opéra National de Paris, Chicaco Lyric Opera, and the Glyndebourne Festival, among others.
