Description:
This is the third installment of the CAN: Live Series, a project that carefully selects the best of the many live recordings left behind by CAN and uses 21st century technology to bring you important historical recordings in the highest quality! The booklet of this release features liner notes written by French author Pascal Bussy. His books include The Can Story (with Andy Hall, 1989) and Kraftwerk, Man, Machine, and Music (1993). CAN's live performances are definitely not an extension of the studio work, but are a work in themselves, and there is still much to discover. CAN first appeared on the underground scene in Cologne in 1968, and while little of their early material survives, they have toured extensively in Europe (especially Germany, France, and the UK) since 1972, when their fan base grew. ), and as the legend spread, so did the number of bootleggers who flocked to the band.CAN: The Live Series" selects the best of those recordings and, under the supervision of Irmin Schmidt and Renée Tiner, uses 21st century technology to present these important historical recordings in the highest quality. Novelist and well-known CAN fan Alan Warner says - "Their live performances are like an epic story being told - a novel made up of different chapters, full of moods, weather, seasons, exotic landscapes, and other variables. The live series includes two live recordings, "Live in Stuttgart 1975" (Live in Stuttgart 1975), which won first place in the Uncut magazine's Reissue of the Year and second place in the MOJO, and "Live in Brighton 1975" (Live in BRIGHTON 1975).
