Carole King, born February 9, 1942 in New York, was a songwriter in the 1960's. With Jerry Goffin, she sang "Loco Motion," "Will You Love Me Tomorrow," "One Fine Day," and many other songs that have been sung over the years. She began her solo career in 1970 with the release of "Lighter. The following year, "Tsuzureori" became a worldwide smash hit and earned her fame as a leading female singer/songwriter. The album spent 15 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard charts, sold more than 20 million copies, and won four Grammy Awards. It became one of the greatest albums in rock/pop history, containing such classic songs as "So Far Away," "It's Too Late," and "Your Friend," all of which are still sung to this day. This album was recorded at a concert held in Hyde Park, London on July 3, 2016, to celebrate the 45th anniversary of "Tsuzumoretori".This historic performance in Hyde Park, her largest concert since the legendary Central Park concert in 1973, was her first in the UK since 1989 and the first time she performed "Tsuzure-ori" in its entirety on stage.
