The second issue of "Furtwängler Stereo Transcriptions" reissued from a test press LP that was never issued by the producer is a session recording of Schumann's Symphony No. 4 and Haydn's Symphony No. 88. The performances need no further explanation. The sound quality of these two works is the most stable, and the pseudo-stereo effect may be superior to that of the live recording of "Fate" + "Egmont" Overture (GS-2256). Especially since Schumann has a fantastic style, the stereo version is very successful. This disc is a reissue from LP, so some noise peculiar to LP may be present.
