Trio Isimsiz
Description:
Trio Isim Shiz's second release! A collection of piano trios by Faure, Schubert, and Brahms! This is the second album by Trio Isimshiz, formed in 2009 at the Guildhall School of Music and named after the Turkish word for "unknown" in the ensemble's name. It features violinist Pablo Herman Benedi, a member of Alina Ibragimova's Chiaroscuro Quartet; Erdem Misirlioglu, a finalist in the concerto category of the 2008 BBC Young Musicians Competition; British ECHO Trio Isimsiz, a trio of three young talented artists, Michael Petrov, selected for the Rising Star Series, won first prize & audience prize at the 2015 Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition and second prize at the 2017 Vienna Haydn International Competition, and is currently one of the most exciting and promising as one of the most exciting and energetic ensembles of the moment. The second album by Trio Isimsiz, whose debut title was an ambitious program of Beethoven, Brahms, and Toru Takemitsu, continues the attractive lineup from the previous album, combining Brahms, the late Fauré's solitary trio, and Schubert's atmospheric Notturno (Nocturne). The lineup is a fascinating one. The trio's high level of technique and ensemble ability have earned them favorable reviews from Strad, Gramophone, Diapason, and others. Tokyo M-Plus
