The young male voice ensemble Gesualdo Six presents its second enchanting a capella Christmas! Its director, Owain Park, born in 1993, is a young musician prodigy who has expanded his activities to include composer, conductor, singer, and organist. He is Senior Organ Scholar at Trinity College Cambridge and Wells Cathedral, and his work has been recorded by Tenebrae, the Choir of Trinity College Cambridge, and the Wells Cathedral Choir, and as a singer he is an Associate Artist with Tenebrae, As a singer, she has been an associate artist with Tenebrae and has performed with Polyphony and the Dunedin Consort. Besides Owain Park, the other members include Alexander Chance (son of renowned countertenor Michael Chance), who is a member of the Tallis Scholars and the Marian Consort, as well as other promising young singers.The second recording, following the collection of motets from medieval and Tudor England (CDA 68256), is a gem of a Christmas album featuring Christmas carols from a wide range of periods, from the medieval chant "Long have I waited, O Lord, and thou art come" to Jingle Bells.
