Pianist Alberto Rosado, who specializes in contemporary Spanish works, performed his first piece for piano and electronics in 1994. Since then he has explored the possibilities of the piano in numerous works for this combination. He says that electronics, which amplify, transform, and sustain sound, play a role similar to that of a 19th century orchestra, and can express worlds previously unimaginable.
